Chorus
Midnight feel the city lights
Sunrise where does the passion die?
When you call it just feels right - Oh
I want to go Take me somewhere take me out there
I’m letting go We can make it right here make it out there
Raised in the city, nothing to hold Neon handshakes
feel the parole Pulse on my legs
chasing the cash All of it’s empty and none of it lasts
Promise of wealth fame on the side
Losing myself for 10 seconds of pride
I stay swinging in the air and I swear it’ll collide
If I never make it home then I’m telling you why
Birthed in a jungle climbing ahead
Want to make stars out of zombies instead
Like I been here for a month feeling its fine
Lasted for a year now my feelings are blind
You can shoot it in my vein and my body recline
What even really happened to these passions of mine
I thought actions and my work was a part of the grind
Now there’s parts of my heart that I’m leaving behind…
Guess i’m part of the show
Thought it’d make me happy but my feelings are cold
See my face on the screen and I’m screaming a ‘no’
Feeling insecure like I’m stealing a role
How can it be that I’m fully unknown
Room full of people and I’m feeling alone
It’s a part of my life that I’d never thought I’d be
Neon billboards helping me to see
Midnight feel the city lights
Sunrise where does the passion die?
When you call it just feels right - Oh
I want to go Take me somewhere take me out there
I’m letting go We can make it right here make it out there
Running on the wheel just to get more routes
Dropping all these names just to get more clout
Got to fit in the culture got to pay my drought
Been unknown for a minute but well they know now
I don’t care what you got I don’t play that game
Got my soul, got my heart got my g-o name
Got my people and my city and they all show love
Got a show in the winter and they all show up
I was raised in the country where this sound was bred
Mix of the culture and the c-notes spread
In a day and a age where the numbers lie
Got a hundred million views that you had to buy
I don’t say nothing much, I just work my craft
Keep it to myself and I won’t go half
Even if we never met, keep it in my set
I take the way you feel and I place it on my chest
Midnight feel the city lights
Sunrise where does the passion die?
When you call it just feels right - Oh
I want to go Take me somewhere take me out there
I’m letting go We can make it right here make it out there
Take it, flip it
Turn it all up now play it again
I said take it, flip it,
Turn it all up now play it again
Really i’m here, really I’m gone
Really I’m dizzy I’m busy I’m on
Can’t take another photo

Memories and Comeback Kid were my first introduction to this band. From then on - I've always gone to the Midnight for easy listening. Waiting for a bus - Standing in line - Going grocery shopping and pretty much everywhere and anywhere. You can listen to this track over and over again and I feel like it doesn't get old. solstra
Just had to get this on vinyl although I've been listening to this album for a couple of years already.... now it can take it rightful place beside " Endless Summer!"🧔 Knut -Thomas
