Was really just a letter inside of a digital bottle
I structured it like a novel in hopes it would swim beside you
And close another chapter that was left open and hostile
I didn't know if it would one day get the treatment

I get a voicemail, checked it when I left a meeting
Listened to it frozen while i partnered with some heavy breathing
It was revealing and my case worker said call me back
I called her fast and I spaced out for like half the chat
She said i got some really crazy news to share with you
Not only does she want to meet, you also got a sister too
I told her that my flight was literally this weekend
I was just expecting to go visit Seoul til this sequence
Threw me for a loop and now I'm thinking of what gift to bring
This is the missing link, thinking deeper the finishing
Touches upon the story of a son who was adopted
Into a loving family where grandma would feed me often
And now i get to meet the woman who gave birth to me
How will our conversation go, really i feel the urgency
To tell her everything that's happened in my life with only
Limited availability i started praying for her…

I feel the plane descending waking to a foreign country
Part of me is energetic, aesthetically it's melancholy
We took a trolly or the train into the epicenter, Seoul is really
Glowing and I see the city full of winter
Pregnant ladies walking, strollers all around the streets
Really its unbelievable truly we finna get to meet
I hop a train and take the journey out to Daegu
The land it looks magnificent, dreaming could never prep you
For the meeting of a lifetime, finally i see you face
You had the tears of a mama who had been holding pain
Gently i hold you, told you that I never hated
What you had to do and the circumstances that it created
We talked for hours, pouring out our heart and soul
You kept on holding on my hand til it was time to go
We gave a hug that was decades in the making
Finally we made it a mom and son trading graces
